Bundle Management#

The Bundles List#

The Bundles page is your central hub for viewing and managing all your bundles.

Accessing the Bundles list:

Go to Bundles from the sidebar navigation. You’ll see a table listing all your bundles, with an Add bundle button in the top-right corner.

What you see in the Bundles list:

Each bundle in the list shows five columns:

• Products: Thumbnails of the first three products in the bundle, with a “+N” counter if there are more. Click the thumbnails to see the full product list with prices.
• Bundle details: The bundle’s title. Click the title to open the bundle for editing. The eye icon next to it offers View in admin ui, which opens the bundle’s product in your Shopify admin.
• Status: Active (live on your store), Draft (saved but hidden from customers), or Archived (retired and hidden from customers)
• Type: Fixed, Mix&Match, Multipack, or FBT
• Creation method: Manual (you created it) or Agent (created by a connected AI assistant; see the Connect AI guide), together with the date the bundle was created. Bundles created by an AI assistant always arrive as Draft so you can review them before they go live.

Finding bundles:

• Use the tabs above the table (All, Fixed, Mix&Match, Multipack, FBT) to show one bundle type at a time. Each tab shows how many bundles of that type you have.
• Use the search bar to find bundles by title or type
• Use the Status filter to show only Active, Draft, or Archived bundles
• Use the sort control in the filter bar to sort by Title (A-Z / Z-A), Status, Type, Created (newest or oldest first), or Updated (recently updated or least recent)
• Browse through pages if you have many bundles. You can choose how many bundles to show per page (5, 10, 15, 25, or 50).

Quick actions:

• Click a bundle’s title to open and edit it
• Select one or more bundles to reveal the bulk actions. Set as active, Set as draft, Archive, and Edit appear directly in the action bar; Unarchive and Delete are in the additional actions menu next to them.
  • Set as active: Available when the selected bundles are Draft and/or Archived. Opens the Activate bundle confirmation.
  • Set as draft: Available when only Active bundles are selected. Opens the Deactivate bundle confirmation.
  • Archive: Available for Active or Draft bundles. Opens the Archive bundle confirmation.
  • Unarchive: Available when only Archived bundles are selected. Opens the Unarchive bundle confirmation and returns the bundles to Draft.
  • Edit: Available when exactly one bundle is selected. Opens the bundle’s edit form directly.
  • Delete: Opens the Delete bundle confirmation (Delete bundles when several are selected). Deleting removes the bundle and the bundle product it created in your store. For FBT bundles, the recommendation settings are removed from your main product, which stays as it is. Deleting can’t be undone.

If a bulk action isn’t possible for your current selection (for example, activating more bundles than your plan allows), it appears grayed out.

Editing a Bundle#

You can update any bundle at any time without losing your existing settings.

How to edit a bundle:

• Bundle title
• Products included in the bundle
• Discount type, value, and rules
• Bundle status: switch between Active and Draft with the Status dropdown. The dropdown also lists Archived, but for Fixed, Mix & Match, and Multipack bundles choosing it there leaves Update unavailable. To archive a bundle or bring an archived bundle back, use the More actions menu (see Archiving and Unarchiving Bundles below).

Important notes:

• Changes take effect immediately on your storefront once you click Update
• If you switch a bundle from Active to Draft, it will disappear from your store right away
• For FBT bundles, the Main product is locked once the bundle has been created: the field shows the current main product grayed out and its button reads Locked. You can still update all three recommendation tabs (Manual, Automatic, Random) and the Discount tab. To use a different main product, create a new FBT bundle.
• For Multipack bundles, you can adjust the packs and their discounts
• Use the up and down arrows next to Discard (or the J and K keys) to jump to the previous or next bundle without going back to the list
• Delete bundle in the More actions menu permanently deletes the bundle. This can’t be undone.

Archiving and Unarchiving Bundles#

Archiving is not permanent. An archived bundle can be brought back at any time.

How to archive a bundle:

• From the edit form: open More actions → Archive bundle and confirm
• From the Bundles list: select the bundle(s) and use the Archive bulk action

Archived bundles are hidden from your customers and don’t count toward your plan’s active-bundle limit. They stay in your Bundles list; use the Status filter to find them.

How to unarchive a bundle:

• From the edit form: open More actions → Unarchive bundle and confirm. The bundle returns to Draft so you can review it and reactivate it.
• From the Bundles list: select the archived bundle(s) and choose Unarchive from the additional actions menu (returns them to Draft), or choose Set as active to put them straight back on your storefront.

Activating and Deactivating Bundles#

Control which bundles are visible on your store by setting their status.

Or, from the Bundles list, select one or more Draft or Archived bundles and use Set as active.

The bundle will appear on your storefront immediately, as long as the app block is enabled in your theme. If it isn’t, the edit form shows a Widgets bundles block required banner with an install button.

How to deactivate a bundle:

Or, from the Bundles list, select one or more Active bundles and use Set as draft.

The bundle will be removed from your storefront but all settings are preserved. You can reactivate it whenever you have a free active-bundle slot (see Bundle Limits below).

Things to keep in mind:

• Active bundles count toward your plan’s bundle limit
• If you’ve reached your plan’s maximum number of active bundles, the “Active” option will be disabled when creating or editing a bundle, and Set as active is grayed out in the Bundles list
• Deactivating, archiving, or deleting a bundle frees up a slot for a new active bundle
• On the Free plan, once you’ve reached your monthly bundle-sales limit, bundles can’t be set to Active until you upgrade or the next billing period starts (see Bundle Limits below)
• If your Shopify subscription is frozen, your active bundles keep running but you can’t activate new ones until the subscription is reactivated

Bundle Limits#

Each xBundle plan allows a certain number of active bundles. Understanding your limits helps you plan your bundling strategy.

Limits by plan:

How bundle limits work:

• Only Active bundles count toward your limit
• Draft and Archived bundles do not count
• When you reach your limit, you cannot set any more bundles to Active until you set an existing bundle to Draft, archive it, delete it, or upgrade your plan

What happens when you reach the limit:

• An Approaching bundle limit banner appears at the top of the Bundles page (and on the bundle create and edit pages) once you’re using 80% of your active bundles; it becomes Bundle limit reached at 100%. Both include an Upgrade plan button.
• The “Active” status option will be grayed out when creating or editing a bundle
• The Add bundle button is disabled. At the limit you can’t create another bundle at all, not even as a Draft, until you set an existing active bundle to Draft or Archived, delete it, or upgrade your plan.

Monthly bundle-sales limit (Free plan):

The Free plan includes 20 bundle sales per month, with no option to pay for extra sales.

• At 80% of the limit, an Approaching monthly bundle-sales limit banner warns you that your bundles will be unpublished when the limit is reached (if you’re also close to your active-bundle limit, that banner is shown instead)
• When the limit is reached, all your Active bundles are automatically switched to Draft and removed from your storefront, and a Monthly bundle-sales limit reached banner appears on the Bundles page and on bundle create and edit pages
• While you’re at the limit, bundles can’t be set back to Active from the edit form, from the Bundles list, or by a connected AI assistant. The change simply won’t go through; the banner explains why.
• When you upgrade to a paid plan, the bundles that were automatically drafted are set back to Active for you right away, as long as they’re still in Draft. When your next billing period starts, they’re restored the next time your usage is updated; you can also set them back to Active yourself as soon as the new period has begun. A bundle you archived or deleted in the meantime stays as you left it.

On Starter and Growth, your bundles keep selling past the included sales; extra sales are billed per sale up to the cap shown above, and an Included bundle sales used up banner lets you know. Enterprise has no sales limit.

How to manage your limits:

• Review your active bundles and deactivate or archive any that are underperforming
• Use Analytics to see total sales by bundle type and the All Events log of each bundle’s views, add-to-carts, and checkouts
• Upgrade your plan if you need more active bundles: go to Settings → Plans & billing
