How to configure xBundle: storefront widgets, checkout recommendations, Connect AI, and plans & billing.
App Configuration
Settings Overview
The Settings page lets you configure how xBundle works with your store. Access it from the Settings link in the sidebar.
Settings is organized into tabs across the top:

| Plans & billing | View your current plan, compare plans, upgrade/downgrade, and see usage |
| Connect AI | Connect your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, and other clients) so it can build bundles for you |

Widget & Theme Settings
Control which bundle widgets are active on your Shopify storefront.
Widgets bundles section (All & Widgets bundles tabs):
This is where you enable or disable the app blocks that display bundles on your store’s product pages.
What you see:
A list of all available xBundle widgets with their current status:
- Bundle discount widget (Fixed & Mix & Match): the discount display for Fixed and Mix & Match bundles
- Mix & Match bundle widget: the product-card widget for building Mix & Match bundles
- Multipack bundle widget: displays the available packs for Multipack bundles
- Frequently bought together bundle widget: displays FBT recommendations
- Disable dummy bundle cart button: an app embed that hides “Add to Cart” for bundle placeholder products on Home, Collection and Catalog pages (see Storefront Widgets)
For each widget, you can:
- See its status as an On / Off badge, checked against your store’s current live theme
- Click Install to add it to your theme, or Uninstall to remove it. Either button opens the Shopify theme editor in a new tab at the right spot, and xBundle re-checks the status automatically for a short while after you return
- Click the info icon next to the title for a short description of what the block does
Important reminders
- Widgets must be enabled for customers to see your bundles
- If you change themes, you need to re-enable the widgets
- Each widget type is independent; enable only the ones you need
Checkout & Recommendation Settings
Configure how product recommendations appear during checkout and across your store.
Checkout product recommendations (All & Recommend products at checkout tabs):
Click the pencil (edit) icon on the card, adjust the values, then click Save:
- Count of product recommendations: How many products to show during checkout (1 to 10)
- Number of times to show recommendations: How many times the recommendation section may appear per checkout session (1 to 100)
- Excluded products: Products (and variants) that should never be recommended at checkout; click Browse to pick them
Discount product recommendations (All & Recommend products at checkout tabs):
Set up a discount specifically for checkout recommendations:
- Click Add discount and configure the discount name, type and value (conditions are optional)
- These are separate from your bundle-level discounts
- There is no time-limit or countdown option for these discounts; the discount name is the label customers see at checkout
Global recommendations (All tab):
Select up to 5 products to add to every Frequently Bought Together widget in your store:
Go to the Global recommendations section
Go to the Global recommendations section and click the pencil (edit) icon.
Add products
Click Add products (or Browse / Add more) to choose from your catalog.
Review selected products
Selected products show with their image, price, and inventory level.
Save
Click Save. These products are appended after each bundle’s own recommendations (the section carries a “Priority 3” badge; in the widget they come last and only appear when there is room).

Plans & Billing Tab
View your current plan, compare all plans, and upgrade or downgrade without leaving Settings.
The tab shows a Usage this period card (Active bundles and Bundle sales (this period), with your plan name) followed by the plan cards, with your current plan marked. See the Plans & Billing guide for the full details.
Connect AI Tab
Connect your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or any client that supports connectors) so it can create and manage bundles for you.
On this tab you’ll find:
- Your connection URL: unique to your store, with a Copy button
- How to connect: the four setup steps
- Connected AI clients: every client you’ve approved, each with a Disconnect button
xBundle doesn’t include an AI subscription and never stores AI provider keys; you use your own AI client. Everything the AI creates is saved as a Draft for you to review.
